Stream of Teardrops
by Mohammad  Badri

Last night
i constructed and decorated
an attractive snow rose
for you, identical to the
one you made me on the sandy
beaches of pensacola, florida
during our summer journey
which a vigorous wave
washed away soon
and abolished its sign
of tenderness.
However, i placed
the snow rose
in your favorite golden vase
on my desk near our picture
as a morning breeze approached
the grief of your absence
vanquished the rose
and left the vase filled
with a stream of teardrops.
