I No Longer Curse My Reasoning
by   Wrigley

It was hidden, under the invented rhyme
that my heart was singing, waiting to
unfurl like the voices of a choir;
heightening my pulse
that rocked with the thrill of your glance

My need to have you look at me
and know that I exist beyond a nimble moment;
that I could be wrapped in your silence
and echo through your words, clung
to me like tendrils to the vine

I no longer curse my reasoning;
it bows to this insanity.
