Time spent waiting, 
is a glance at a child as he plays
It is the end of a raindrop's journey, 
as it hits the petal of a rose.

It is the twinkle in an angel's eye 
on a clear night that leads the wanderer home.
At times it is spent dreaming 
of special places, hopes, and aspsirations.

Time spent waiting 
as I stop to hear the songs of the birds 
as the earth lay sleeping 
under sparkling blanket of early morn dew.

Time spent worrying, pondering, 
Hoping for a change; caring, loving, missing.
Time spent walking in the park, 
seeing glances cast, hands held, cheeks carressed.

The same time- reveals, feelings hurt, 
egos brusied, and hearts broken.
Time spent waiting... 
I have seen wars rage,and fortunes crumble.

I have seen peace reign and prosperity flourish.
I have learned my life with time spent waiting,
good times bad times, 
shortcomings and revelations.

Every waking moment, every dream, every nightmare, 
gives new reason for that time.
Waiting for that special person 
who accepts me for me... respects my thoughts,
                         supports my actions, and loves me as one. 

For when this person may appear, 
she shall be loved, unconditionally.
Every word spoken from her lips will be honored, 
every triumph showered in adoration.
