I Think I Love You
by Alison  Hutton

I think I love you
It comes as a surprise
Words fly carefully around us
But the focus of our eyes
Penetrates all self-disguise
I wonder if you realize?

I will not hide from this
You may try harder to resist
That's up to you, that is your call
I don't think it matters much at all
Fine actions may surround you
But what is real may well confound you

Our atoms, thoughts and souls
Are playing independent roles
Unsupervised, out with control
Have you also just been told?
I think I love you
It comes as a surprise

Words fly carefully around us
But the focus of our eyes
Penetrates all self-disguise
I wonder if you realize?
