Suffering....

A broken heart,
forever torn,
split apart,
from your loveless scorn.

I should have learned,
But how could I have known?
Your heart could not be mine?
The words you spoke to me were lies?

You left me for bait,
the day they came to take me,
you wouldn't fight for me,
you said, 
"She's not worth the wait."

This broken heart,
these shameful tears,
fall from the eyes,
that held your hypnotizing gaze.

How could I have been so blind?
This youthful heart
with so much love to give
smashed so irrepairingly,
by your immaturity!

For Lee; Who decided I was no longer worth fighting for...
