Bitter Reality
by Kara  Cordner

We travel online
and love without a care,
believing every word
that comes spewing from thin air.

Some are quite taken in
while others only prey
not caring who they hurt
in travels along the way.

No ground is given, no mercy shown.
Just total conquest is the game.
And it's all portrayed
from the shadows of our very own home.

So be warned,
Oh naive, traveler
for these paths
are worn... with deceit,

Traveled by many
who's only true goal
is to bask in the sorrow
they surely wish to reek.
