FLAME
by   Yoreco

How many ways can I tell you, "I love you?"
Can you see it in my actions?
How about the way my face lights up upon seeing yours?
Does my smile express the longing to share more with you,
Do my eyes convey the deep emotions swirling within my heart?
Does the beat of my heart tell you how much you really mean to me?

You'd be burned with the touch of my steaming blood,
You'd be scorched by my intense gaze.
I want you.

Simply, I want you.

I wish I could explain to you,
with my lips, what my heart can only say on paper;
To tell you how much you truly mean to me.

Though, I wish not to love you,
I cannot control my promiscuous heart.
It goes where it wants,
Chooses whom, I don't.
It locks me in it's tight embrace...
I am helpless

What can be done for my sinning heart,
How can I get it to stop its midnight runs,
When will it ever cease to grow dimmer in its brilliant glow?

When will my heart cease?
