Victim Of Hope
by Sadia  Khan

As the night was drawing near
I was struggling against fear

I was looking around for a guilding light
A light, to lighten the way in my plight

Passing through the forests of phantoms and fear
I was startled to find hope so near

It took my frozen and trembling hand
And promised to take me to a hopeful land

I continued my journey, with a lighter heart
As hope was with me the phantoms wouldn't last

But as we were reaching the end of this game
It went away as suddenly as it came

Now I'm alone again with my despair and fears
My eyes shedding the never stopping tears

Oh why did you come if you had to go
leaving me feeling so down and low?
