Secret Love
by   Precious

He and I sitting behind the others...
    watching our lips sway,
holding hands and smiling,
    while our hearts slip away.

Every word spoken:
    so tender and sweet.
Every word he says,
    makes my heart beat.

That look in his eyes
    makes my temperature rise,
while he stares at me with that look...
    that look in his eyes.

Sometimes words cannot express
what we feel in our hearts,
knowing that our combined hearts
    will never drift apart.

I see him searching for words to say,
    because he knows
the right ones
    will take my breath away.

Even though our bodies leave each other
    when figures are all around...
Our hearts are still one,
    with silent sound.

These figures who fly pass like turtle doves,
Do not know about my Secret Love.
People talk and say what they feel,
but they do not know my love is real.

I crave his kiss, like the morning's sweet bliss,
and when he leaves, his touch I do miss.
When we're together, it's like the heaven's above.
No one, but no one, knows about my Secret Love.

When everyone is gone,
    our spirits are still there,
whispering to each other,
    in the softened air.
