Distant Friend
by H  PULLEN (Desperado-Sun)

Baby, I woke up this morning
to another beautiful sunrise,
but I was alone again.
I saw the breaking skys,
I saw your eyes in the clouds.

I'm missing my distant friend.

Carolina in the morn
is where my heart and soul lies.
I know deep in my soul
you are here in Carolina
watching the same sunrise.

Sharing this moment with your distant friend.

One day fate will make our date,
I believe in destiny
and time will prove this true.
Sunrises were meant to be shared
with one another to the end.

I'm missing you, my distant friend.

I hear your voice in the Carolina wind,
whispering I love you,
soft and clear.
I wish you were here
I know you are wishing too.

I'm missing you, my distant friend.

Tommorrow at dawn when you're alone
look to the skys
and listen to the wind.
You will see and feel
what your heart holds dear.

Sharing the Carolina sunrise with your distant friend.

Miles between us seem to get closer
with each new day.
It makes life worth living
and time forgiving
when you touch a Carolina sunrise.

I'm missing you, my distant friend.

There will be a time
when we walk
side by side
making the journey
to the end.

This Carolina desperado misses his distant friend.
