GOD'S FLOWER
by Bob Dean Brokaw
The Roses are Red,
the Violets are Blue.
But it's hard to love flowers,
as I love you.
God created the flowers.
the whole world to see.
But, created only you,
especially for me.
The birds will remember,
as well as the bees.
All of Gods' flowers,
as well as his trees.
So, also I will remember,
as long as can be.
God's one lovely flower,
made special for me.
Flowers rebloom and trees regrow.
But what people do,
we really don't know.
But if people have gardens,
someplace in the sky.
I'm sure there's a place,
for just you and I.
So, remember these thoughts,
like the bird and the bee.
Till they sing in our garden,
for just you and me.
And, if in this garden,
the flower doesn't grow.
It will be for a reason,
only our Father should know.
He'll plant a new garden,
a new flower, a new tree.
A beautiful new garden,
for the whole world to see.
Someday a boy,
from out of the Blue,
will pick out his flower,
as I picked out you.
And love will continue,
as well it should be.
From that one flower seed,
God planted for me.
