Words
by Timothy Lee Nesbit

The time has come for you to play
those words I hoped you?d never say.
Words kept deep down in your heart;
Words spoken only when we part.

Parting for me isn?t an easy thing.
It makes me sad, my heart doesn?t sing.
My heart doesn?t sing because you're missing.
My true love is gone, our love she's dismissing.

Love I thought was heaven descending;
Together forever, and never ending.
Total bliss so inebriating;
Carefree and blind, never hesitating.

Remembering each kiss and warm embrace.
Forever in my heart you?ll have a special place.
A place you earned by just being you;
For making me smile when I was feeling so blue.

One thing I do know is- life is never fair.
It's right in your face, in your eyes it does stare.
For now the time has come, and I'll try not to cry.
For my true love has said, the word... "good-bye."
