Fading away
by Amanda Sue Irwin

Just like the night casting over us, my life slowly fades away,
But don't worry my dear it will all end okay.
I no longer carry all that wicked fear,
So if you would please come near and take my cold hand
I will make you understand that there is no reason to shed a tear.
I must let you know I will always be here.
When the breeze blows, you will feel my breath against your skin,
You will hear my words in the wind.
I have not passed through life without a sin.
Although I am not scared,
I stand with pride and await to be lead to my destiny
After I leave here.
