Delusinal Love
by Candise  Starr

   You were the one,
   I thought I would love,
You looked just like me, Your body like mine,
So familiar, we felt the same pain.
   That's what brought us together,

Two scared little girls at just fifteen,
Falling in love, though we knew it was wrong,
We dreamed of the day we could be together,
I thought I would love you,
Just like me, the body just like mine,

So familiar we felt the same pain,
It brought us together, now tearing us apart,
Once we were children now angry adults
With still no answers, and still no results,
Our love didn't prove anything-- it just made us worse,

   Now that your gone
I don't know what to think,
I still love you, this time not out of pain.
Now, I still love you with no feeling of shame,
But now, if I told you, would things be the same????
