It's Over
by Chelsey  Shirley

All has been said.
All has been done.
Everything is over
and I must move on.

My tears have fallen
Along with my heart;
I never dreamed of the day
that we would be apart.

To think of a day or a time
to say that you weren't mine.

I loved you so much
and when I thought of you, my heart trembled.
But now I know that
all that we had cannot be reassembled.

I can try to leave this behind,
but I will always know
you were the stars in my sky...and you were the sun.
I will always know that you were the one.

As I lay in my bed at night and cry,
It finally hits me that everything is over
no matter how hard I try.

We told so many secrets.
I believed all of your lies.
No matter how bad I want our friendship back,
Is it worth it to even try?

I lost you because of a love in Jr. High.
I don't know what to do,
Should I hang on or say goodbye?

I thought everything was perfect.
I thought it would never end,
But now it's hit me...I lost my best friend.

Why did this happen?
Was it my fault?
You will never understand
the happiness that you brought.

I've learned from this;
I'm a stronger person now.
I'll win back your love and friendship,
Someday...Somewhere...Somehow.
