Eyes
by Brandini  Torian

When I look at them
And they look at me
There's nothing so precious
As the vision I see

Deep brown is their color
Sparkle is what they do,
When I think of how they stared at me
I can't help, but think of you

I felt as if, when you looked at me
You knew just what I was thinking,
The dreams I had inside of me
Are slowly, but surely shrinking

They could spot me in the distance
And lure me to their place,
So secure, I felt around them
Now all I need, is space

The image they bestowed
Was a calm and gentle one,
The truth came out one day
And our friendship, is now done

How could I have been so blind
To think you really cared,
Those eyes were nothing much,
Just an object you shared

Now I'll tell you once and for all
I'm letting go, of those precious eyes
Do me a favor,
Spare me your call
