My Tears Of Joy
by Tara F Brewer

The warmth of your kiss
Melted my heart.
You really loved me.
Yet tears of joy I never cried.

Pretend love, masked lies,
and a thousand alibis
Blinded by trust.
I was scared,
Innocent and Pure.
I died a thousand times.

You were mine,
I was yours.
Hand in hand we were joined;
Holy matrimony united us.

The warmth of your kiss
Melted my heart.
You really loved me.
Yet tears of joy I never cried
Until the day you set me free...
