It was my last year in school

But it was the first time I saw her...

And how immensely I was moved

The feelings I had

The emotions I hide

I knew I had discovered a passion

Which can be seen through the eyes.

I was an ordinary guy 

And she was an ordinary girl.

Yet..! Each time I looked at her 

She took away my heart

And she took away my world. 

I never had a vision, 

I never had a dream 

But then I closed my eyes 

Only to open them and scream.

I had made up my mind that she was the one

And just the thought that she wasn?t would

Make my mind go numb. 

Everything that followed was nothing as it seems,

I had come out of a nightmare

And was living a beautiful dream...

We created a world of magic, 

We created a world of Gold,

We knew we created a world,

A world of our own...

After eleven months of laughter, 

And eleven months of gain,

There was a shade of darkness, 

There was a shade of pain...

And then my world shattered

Our magic began to fade...

Our love which was meant to be

Became a target of an ugly fate...

We had a difference of opinion 

So a choice had to be made...

A choice which was bitter 

And would give me nothing but immense pain.

A year had passed 

And things had changed... 

I had new priorities

And everyone thought I was not the same.

I tried and I tried, but in vain.

She was always in my heart and will always remain.

I thought she was not loyal, 

I thought she was fake ,

And how I was suffering 

I thought she never felt any pain.

And then we met out of the blue

A glimmer of hope I had,

At least something new...

And when we met I realized 

She had made up her mind

For her...it was just not right. 

And here I stand in the northern rain

I speak to myself

I?m still in pain...

As time passed I knew I had to change,

New perspectives I had 

And I would never be the same. 

In the midst of this journey

In the midst of this pain

I finally grew stronger,

For myself I had made a name.

I told my friends it was over, 

it will never be the same. 

This thing called love is deception...

It's just a worldly game.

I was not speaking my mind,

I was speaking my pain,

This thing called love can drive you insane.

And then it happened 

We spoke again...

There were sleepless nights 

There was hope again...

Yes it happened, we met again.

It seemed like destiny

And all efforts were not in vain...

Though she had moved on 

But her love for me remained

She stopped listening to her heart

And the mind betrayed...

It was an afternoon full of joy

An evening of pain,

We kissed and hugged

Never to meet again.
