Pointless
by   ames

Life seemed so pointless
Until there was you
No reason to laugh, no reason to cry
No reason to feel, no reason to try
Relationships kept coming and going
no reason to go, no reason to stay
no reason to blame, only to feel shame
All empty and meaningless words
no reason to smile, no reason to frown
no reason to listen, no reason to ignore
Only going through the motions
No reason to feel, no reason to be numb
no reason to stare, no reason to look away
life seemed so pointless
Until there was you
Now a reason to laugh, a reason to cry, feel and try
A relationship that stays
with a reason not to go, a reason to stay
sweet, meaningful words
to make me smile and listen
not just going through the motions anymore
now my life has been given a point
all because of you.
