A Poem For You
by Butterfly  buterfly

I would give you the world,
        if I owned it.

I would send you to the top of the universe,
        if I had a spaceship.

I would give you all the money in the world,
if I had the guts to rob a bank.

I would put you on the top of the Everest Mountain,
if I was sure you'd made it back.

I would give you my life,
if you would give me yours.

I would give you my heart,
if you promise not to break it.

I would give you my love,
        if I haven't already.

But my love, my life and heart,
       already belong to you.

All I haven't given you is my soul,
but you can take that, too.
