If Only You Knew
by Jaclyn  Carr

You sit next to me
as if I'm not even there
If only you knew
this love I wanted to share
If only you knew you were
on my mind both day and night
when you turn away,
it just doesn't seem right.
You and I are probably not meant to be
because you like the smart,
beautiful, popular type.
Definitely not me.
If only you knew how much
it breaks my heart
I tell myself how could I
ever think of such foolish
thoughts from the start ...
If ever I was granted a
wish that would come true,
I would wish there would
be such a thing called
me and you
