The way it is
by Audre Mae Ward

Love is found
Love is lost
Hearts broken...

I'm ashamed of you, I'm ashamed of me.
The lies, the drugs, the numbness
Why do these people want to hurt me?
No more lies, but I have to have the drugs.

My heat is so black, you were here and I didn't feel.
The fights, the screams, the broken glass.
The tears quit comming out a while ago,
So, soon will come all the blook.

When I'm awake... it's all blurry
When you're asleep- it all goes away
The drugs fill this empty hole in my soul.

How did i turn into this?
Can't trust, can't love, can't show it
When will this stone go away?
