I love you, MOMMY
by Meryl Lee Bonito

Mommy, I'm praying for you tonight
Please be strong, we all need you to fight

I know it's not easy
But I'm not ready for you to leave me

You've made me realize so much
You've got my heart that nobody could touch

You showed me you loved me
When my eyes could not see

You explained that I had nothing to fear
When my heart would not hear

Now I'm telling you that I know you're strong
Because when I speak from my heart, I know I'm not wrong

I wish somehow I could take all of your pain away
I want it all to disappear, and I want you to stay

Don't give up, Mommy, please don't give in
I'm desperate, and I NEED you again

No matter what happens, my words remain true
For life and after, I will always love you
