Let Go
by   Tamster

The sun rises, signaling another day
Linking together the forgotten of last night
With the aspirations of what is to come
It seems that with each passing day
Things tend to get a little bit harder
And with each passing day
You tend to get a little bit weaker
Time takes its toll on the heart and the mind
Disappointment, regret, sadness
Bit by bit, they tear at your inner-self
Slowly eroding your faith, your confidence
Slowly dimming your hopes, your dreams
With each waking moment you shiver
Shiver at the thought of being alone?forever
With each passing stranger that walks by you
You see a little bit of him?in them
With each passing scent that is tantalizingly inhaled
You remember him and memories flood in?connecting you
You will never really forget him
And he will never again stand holding you
Yet, he will always have that hold on your heart
And he will only let go if you do
