When I look at a picture of you and me,
I see you and I think, "He's my angel."
When I look at you right in front of me,
I smile at the way your eyes light up, like a candle.

When we depart, I think about what's happened between us,
Questions rush in my mind.
"How come we're not as close as we were back then?"
I wish this answer I could find.

I think of the day when you first said, "I love you,"
And when I said it back, I meant it very much.
I think of the nights and days we went out to have fun,
To the movies, dinners, and such...
And how could I ever forget your gentle touch?

When you saw my tears fall down on my face,
You'd kiss them away, you'd hold my hand,
You'd put your arms around my waist
And let me know you understand.

When you said the sweetest things,
When you support me in all that I do,
The smile to my face that you would bring,
It's no wonder why I love you.

The back rubs we gave each other when we needed them,
The way you'd play with my hair,
And I'd rub my hands through yours. 
Though sometimes we had nothing to do, 
I was still glad that you were there.

Our walks around at night 
And gazing at the stars meant a lot to me,
Because we'd just hold hands, 
And we'd talk about life, the world,
And about you and me.

The sneaking in at night,
It was wrong, but to us it felt just right,
The way we'd laugh at the silly things.
I was your princess and you were my prince.

You wrote me the cutest notes,
I'd happily read them and write back,
"You mean the world to me," you and I would quote.
My love for you never lacks.

Our late night talks on the phone,
Our cuddling, kisses and hugs,
The way we sometimes wanted it to be 
Just you and I alone...
I never knew before what was really love.

Though we've had our disappointments,
In the end we'd always try to work them out.
But is it because this time it was too much,
That being apart is how we turned out?

So many memories shared that I truly miss,
I wait for the day for me and you again, 
 and for your passionate kiss.
We're both still here together, yet far apart.
