I Care
by Charles Allen Greiner

Words that are spoken,
Without given a thought,
Stab like a knife
They cut into the heart

The pain that they cause
Can bring tears to our eyes
No scars on the outside
But, inside we die

And the pain seems much worse
When there's no one to share
The hurt that you're feeling
But, baby, I care

Just open your heart
I want to come inside
Let me see into your soul
There is no reason to hide

I want to share my love,
Give it all to you
Make you happy again
I'll do whatever I have to

Kiss away your tears
I won't bring you down,
Put a smile on your face,
Get rid of that frown

So, try and remember
If you feel depressed again
You'll always be loved by me
You're truly... my best friend
