Deep Inside
by Dawne Samantha Gemes

Deep within my heart I hate you
Thoughts go flying through my head
Should I keep on living or should I be dead?
You make me think these thoughts.

My feelings I hide
Deep inside
Knowing that there's no use in telling you.

I'm going to move on
Because tomorrow I'll be gone
You'll never know what could have gone on.
With me gone, you won't have to worry
About things that could've been meant to be.

Feel free to love her.
I know all about your love affair.
In a matter of time I'll be gone.
Then you won't have to keep it a secret.

Your little secret is what you like to call it.
Well, I have my own
You don't even see the slightest glimmer
of my love for you.
I'm here right in front of your face
Still, you don't see.

When I'm gone you'll say nice things,
Not even realizing that I loved you.
I'll come back to haunt you.
Count on that.
Then and only then,
     You'll know.
