What I feel
by Laura M Babineau

What is this I feel?
Maybe hate for you?
Was this feeling always in me
Just blanketed by love?
You strung me along like your toy.
I was your object of lust,
A boost to your ego,
Not the object of your affection
In which you boasted
To me, you loved me.
I couldn't see through you
Until it was too late.
I saw through you
And I saw pain
And I saw a liar
And I saw an empty heart.
I saw you at last.
You saw my tears
But didn?t seem to care.
Just on to the next
Without me.
Then again with me...
Without me knowing.
And you loved me
Or so you said.
I gave you something
You hadn?t deserved,
Something I can't take back
But wish I could have back.
You stole my heart with a glance.
You stole my tears with a word.
You stole my soul with your mind.
And I can't get it back
And I regret it.
I miss you.
I love you.
But we can't be together.
You don?t deserve my love.
You don?t deserve my care.
You deserve what you have.
Nothing.
You don't have anything.
And neither do I...
Because I have been robbed.
But I can get it back.
What you lost is irreplaceable:
My trust, my heart, my soul
Me
The me you were supposed to Love
But never did
And can't get back.
I lost it all but in the end I gained.
You just gained an untrue ego and a fathead.
I hope you're happy.
