Sometimes
by Cindy Michelle Wood

I know sometimes
It seems we barely get by,
Seems like it's all ending,
And all we do is cry.

I know sometimes
It seems we only fight,
Walk around so angry,
And nothing's ever right.

I know sometimes
It seems not worth the pain,
And after all the hurt and tears,
There's nothing left to gain.

Oh, and darling, sometimes
I can't think of what to say.
I sit alone and wonder
What the point is anyway.

I know sometimes
It's easier just to leave.
But when you're gone I feel so empty,
and it's only you I need.

But, darling, sometimes,
When you hold me, when you're near,
I wonder how I would go on
If I didn't have you here.

And oh, darling, sometimes,
When you look at me that way,
I love you with this passion,
and I just want you to stay.
