Ashley
by Val  Harris

She still had a life to live,
But now her time here is done.
She gave all that she had to give,
Though it seemed she had just begun.
Many nights I cry,
And hope she is where she belongs.
But why did she have to die?
Was she sent to sing the Heavenly songs?
We all miss seeing her smiling face,
And hearing her happy laughter.
In our hearts she leaves a space,
That will be there forever after.
I pray to God every night,
That she knows how much we cared.
Her death fills me with fright,
I feel we didn't have much time shared.
There is a special star that she made,
Up in the sky above.
We wish more than ever that se had stayed,
And we have given her all of our love.
