Losing my Innocence
by   Serenade

Endless days of hot summer rhyme
Cool nights spent in bed with you time after time
On the day you left the sky wept bitter tears
I sold you my heart, gave you my tears
I didn't realize my innocence
Was in the fine print of our agreement

I think you hurt me, but I'm not sure
My body's numb and I can't feel anymore
It's almost a relief. Don't let me worry you; I'll be fine
I just need a few more pills and a little more time
When I collect my thoughts I'll love you again
And with you inside me, I'll feel like I'm home again
