Without You
by Radica Sooknarine
A winter?s reprieve, a summer?s hope
Co-mingling passions, watch them elope.
Memory overrun with rife despair
She feels the onslaught of many a tear.
Coldness creeps in, she feels the bite
Frozen and shivering throughout the night.
Nobody is there, no one hears her call
Alone in the dark, her back against a wall.
As the night fades, she awaits the dawn
Deathly pale, her energy?s drawn.
The warmth descends, it touches her skin
Renewed essence, a new day to begin.
Dismal white turns to a multicoloured hue
It?s yet another day of her life... without You.
