The Light Slips
by Jacquelyn D. Lyon
Daylight comes
Then slips away.
Alas, the darkness
Has come to stay.
Minutes tick,
Hours pass by,
All alone-
Silent, I cry.
Seasons pass,
I watch them go.
From summer to autumn-
To falling snow.
Time passes on,
With lazy speed...
To say Good-Bye,
Is all I need.
