Aspens
by edwin lee ferrell
Here in the Aspen grove,
gold shimmering in twilight,
meadowlarks calling far away,
a drifting web touches my brow.
I remember your kiss, thus....
and the aroma of our warmth,
in the lace-draped,
candlelit eve...
Is that your shadow
...or the moon rising?
