A Misty Harbor
by Cameron J. Herrington

Though through the fog I can hardly see
Where I last stood on the sandy shore,
Buying my sweetheart her ginger ale,
I picture her smiling so joyfully,
Brighter and cuter than ever before...
Captivating as a Siren's wail.
For so long now my thoughts have drifted to thee,
My darling, whom beauty completely adores,
Watching you tie each piggy-tail,
Catching each teardrop that you let free.
We know Time has many heartaches in store,
But forever our love will set sail.
So, sweet child, no longer cry for me,
For your proud daddy is back from the sea.
