I dreamt of you last night
by Vincent Paul Gonzales

I dreamt of you the other night,
I know that I'm insane
I cried a billion tears last night,
As I called out your name.

I clutched my pillow tightly
as I wept all through the night
I wish you would just come home
and end my world of night.

I dream of you- like I used to,
We were so happy then.
But, your interest grew tiresome,
And you messed with my best friend.

Still I weep all through the night
about a love so true,
But, it's long gone and over now,
And my world is through.

I loved you so but now it's time
we must say goodbye
So, I'll close my eyes so tightly now,
and try to sleep tonight.

Tomorrow is another day,
And I must get it through,
And even in tomorrow's light,
I'll still be in love with you.

But, I must say good-bye, my love,
For, my heart you took and shattered
You left my dreams and aspiration,
beaten and badly battered.

So, good-bye darling, it felt so right,
When I held your body near
We loved each other for a moment in time,
And we left our feelings there.
