Whispers
by Stacy E. Langley

Waves swell and calm in rhythm with my heart
As I watch the Sun unlock rainbow hues of Dawn
That fall in streaks of amber across your arms
And just as quickly.. they're gone.

Wrapped in warmth with a contented soul,
I lie drowsily within your embrace
And kiss dreaming lids which secrets hold;
So gentle is your face.

Dream on, my love, upon this sand,
No mind to my wakeful sleep.
For when you wake I will still have your hand,
Whispering.. what forever shall keep.
