The Night Healer
by Danielle Alexandra Allred

Through the night you softly crept
Into the mind, my body kept
What flowed through my veins, but a potion,
Of fully restored love and devotion.

Through the night your soul was swept
To the bed where my eyes slept.
You guided me into an unknown ocean
Of faith to love with all emotion.

Through the night you flew to nest
Inside the warmth of my own breast.
Plunged into my darkness to offer light
To mend the wound of blinded sight.

Through the night you came to rest
Inside my dreams, by you were blessed.
Gave me hope to love, I used to fight,
You came to heal me through the night.
