Tale of Tears
by Vaa Lufi Matua

The first tear was my fault,
Apology given, I new I had blown it this time.
You said to forget it, and just let it go,
Yet somehow it stayed in your mind.

The next tear was your fault,
Though you tried to deny it.
Holding up the first tear as a shield
I was hurt and appalled, new boyfriend had called,
and I knew that my fate had been sealed.

          The last tear was mine,
         Flowing down like a river,
A well of emotion set free.
            What started as two
           Turned to minus one,
You're with him, and my tears are with me.....
