Wildflowers
by Kari Lynn Brueckner

 The waves of majestic wildflowers
 Hypnotize me with their powers

I turn to my right and what do I see?
The beautiful face of my lover, smiling at me

Together we fall into a sea of love
In each other's arms, gazing at the sky above

Lying there with the world all around
With the beating of your heart the only sound

I close my eyes and silently pray
That this be a never-ending day

I know when I wake you will not be there
And all I'll be holding will be thin air

I open my eyes knowing just what I'll find
With the dance of the wildflowers still fresh in my mind
