love's truth
by   SML

daily things we go about,
never speaking out-and-out
of pain, of love, of joy, of hope,
always acting as big dopes.

tears we cry, love that dies,
things we are afraid to try,
haunt us unto the end;
pains of the past- never mend.

life has so much good to give
without- one never truely lives;
sweetest things, amber skies,
yes, even love that dies.

it is better to have love and lost
than to never know true value of the cost
of pain, of love, of joy, of hope,
stop acting like such a dope...
                             and live.
