Two Eyes
by Pontus Pischa Svensson

Two eyes... two ears... one nose
what more is there?
A smile... a laughter... the rising sun -
is that it? Everything.

An image - an impression that
defies comprehension...
I look upon thee and
the gate to eternity opens -
the gate to everything...

Oh, what could I compare thee to,
however unjustfully...
Poems... paintings -
sunsets or heaven itself.

On the shores they stand,
glimmering with light.
Whilst thou, my lovely,
fades away into the horizon.

As a stone compares
to the fairest of diamonds
So do they all compare
to thee.. the fairest of women.

Everything thou are,
without thee
nothing there would be.
