Gravity
by   Jedi-Spice

You are my moon
but I request stars-

You shine bright,
but inconsistent...

spending too much
energy on tides.

Sometimes you are magnificent
but others you are invisible.

Your gravity pulls me
then pushes me away-

yet my waves
remain tidal.

I guess moons will do,
for stars are abundant.

They blind for a while,
then turn dull...

and every one appears
just as the other.

I've never seen
the man in the moon-

the fertile rabbit
catches my eye.

I'll learn to love you, moon
if you promise to always

pull me back...
