Soon
by Kristine  Beulke

 As tears, ever so quietly,
slide down my cheek towards
my heart of despair.
And as I gaze into the
night's splendor,
the stars and the moon
whisper back.

As the air turns to a
sweet cool calm, and the
night's dew becomes the
new morning's balm.

 I realize, that, although
lonely, I'm not alone.
 For here I'm at home.
And soon the autumn will
harvest the seeds I've sown.

 And will bring new joy
to my heart, unlike any
I have ever known.
