Let It Rain
by Randy  DeMedici

Standing in the rain
my clothes getting soaking wet.
But nothing quells the pain,
I simply never can forget.

I'm hoping the rain will hide
the tears upon my face.
Afraid to go back inside
knowing I'd be labeled a disgrace.

Men aren't supposed to cry,
it's not a manly thing to do.
I didn't want to tell them
I was crying over you.

So, here I stand alone and cold
with feelings I've been pinned;
as pages of my life unfold,
erased, like feathers in the wind.

So, please, God, let it rain until
I've released my hearts' true pain.
A love I'll never fulfill...
A man who will never be the same.
