Dreaming about us
by Phillip  Birks

Have you ever dreamed of holding the one you love
With the passion of a naked flame
Have you ever felt the soft caress of a lover's fingertips
And never wanted it to end

With a smile that could melt the polar caps
And lips as sweet as honeyed wine
Can I ever expect the wealth of your love to be mine
When you have invaded my heart and soul

Don?t look back in anger or disdain
Don?t look back with guilt
For you have done nothing wrong

It?s the simple things you say to me
The simple things you do
The way you make things seem so easy
...and that?s the truth

You?re the sun rising in my morning
When I hold you, I?m holding the world in my hands
You can?t begin to imagine just how you make me feel

So, here I sit... alone in my room
Looking at the pictures of you in my head
Waiting for the day you see the truth between us.
