LOVE INSIDE THIS WORLD
by Avery  Robertson

Loving you was like
the uncertainty of fate;
Thinking of futures, yet
unsure of the present.

Watching your words
spread across the page,
like bolts of lightning,
igniting my every sense.

Swirling hot winds of
slow passionate breath,
blowing thru my world,
drying up my every inhibition.

Lifting me up on wings of
pegasus, swiftly carrying me off
to places of mystery, such bright
times of glorious wonders.

Every scent reminds me of wild
exotic flowers, glowing in the
night with shimmering brilliance,
colours melt onto my flesh.

Drops of rain held within your hands
falling thru slowly, seductively
onto closed eyes, waiting,
anticipating your every move.

Heart racing, blood flowing,
mind wondering where you are;
where you've gone to, inside this
insidious dark that blinds me.

Quietly now, the face is at ease,
the hands are stilled, the air
ceases to move even the smallest
of thoughts... for you are gone.
