Lindsey
by Karen Kimberly Logsdon

Curls in my hair, A jelly smudged face,
Teddy and I found a wonderful place
Under the table, Chairs all around,
It's here we have tea, where we can't be found
A whisper, a giggle, a spill, wipe it up!
(I'm trying to teach him to drink from a cup)
Our days seem unending, with time standing still
But you know it keeps ticking, with each cup I fill
These moments, so precious, I spend with my friend
I'll hold them forever, for they're only pretend.
