New Tune, New Life
by   Wolf Eila

I catch you looking at me all the time,
I?m past you, darling? Dancing to a new tune
How do you like me now?
Now that I?m out... running free.

You brush past me on the streets,
Trying to catch my eye,
--Sorry darling,
I?m past you now.

Do I think of you?
Sometimes, when it?s late, rain pelting down,
You made me happy...
For awhile.

Expectations rode so high,
But now... I?m dancing free,
I took a new route,
Stepping lightly on a new path.

Look at me now,
Sweet music flows around,
The sound growing sweeter with each passing smile,
I?m past you now.
