Your Face
by Lawanna Reah Shumaker

the times we've spent together have been a blast.
I could only wish that forever it would last.
I close my eyes,
just in case, and hope that you will appear,
but all I see is your face,
and hear you call me your baby girl.
When I close my eyes your face is what I see.
your face holds the memories of what was meant to be for you
and me.
